Abstract: Most organelles and protein bodies swelled to a large extent, or were ever destroyed in the soybean cotyledon cells fixed with fixatives of 4% formaldehyde + 0,0.5 % glutaraldehyde. But the glutaraldehyde fixation with 1.5, 2.5 % formaldehyde were used as a compromise between structural and antigenic preservation, resulting in the labeling density of 19.7 and 11.4/µm2 of colloidal gold particles on the surface of protein matrix in the protein bodies, respectively.
