Abstract: In the paper, we introduce to our countrymen forty_eight terms from the book entitled “Plant Identification Terminology: An Illustrated Glossary" by James G. Harris and Melinda W. Harris, with their Chinese translations suggested. Meanwhile, the definitions of ten taxonomic terms from the existing Chinese dictionaries of botany are discussed.
