Abstract: The aromatic cytokinins contain 6-benzylaminopurine (BA), 6-[3 –hydroxybenzylamino] purine (mT), 6-［2-hydroxybenzylamino］purine (oT) and their derivatives. Aromatic cytokinins metabolism is classified under four broad headings: interconversion, hydroxylation, conjugation and oxidation.
