Abstract: By studying the condition of HCl treatment in silver staining and the silver staining positive reaction domain in the chromosomes of rye, we found for the first time that the silver staining positive reaction in NOR and telomere, NOR and centeromere appeared in order with the increase of the strength of HCl treatment in the slides after a short period (4～24 h) of air dry. The mechanism of silver in telomere and centeromere is discussed according to our results.
