Abstract: Spirulina (Arthrospira) platensis has 3 kinds of photosynthetic pigment. Their contents in Spirulina(Arthrospira) platensis are phycobilin>Chls > carotenoid. Each pigment has its own absorption characteristics in a different spectrum range, and some absorption characteristics appear in the absorption spectrum of the living body. The value of fluorescence emission apexes in all pigments is higher by 13-15 nm than that in the living body. The relative fluorescence density of pigment is 11-fold greater than that in living body. The change of photosynthetic rate is a single-peak curve, and the highest photosynthetic rate is at 13:00 in a day. The light saturation point is 28-30 mmol.m-2.s-1, the light compensation point is 220-235 mmol.m-2.s-1, and the optimal temperature for photosynthesis is 35 ℃. The respiration rate increases slowly with temperature.
