Abstract: Ethanol extracts of the inflorescence of Celosia argentea L.(red flower) were allowed to react with color developer such as Mg(Zn) powder and HCl, 1% FeCl3 ethanol, 2% AlCl3 ethanol and 1% NaOH. Characteristic color of flavonoids was then observed. Putting quercetin, kaempferol and isorhamnetin as reference, flavonol in dried sample of the various season was analyzed and determined by HPLC. Results showed that total content of flavonol in the later period inflorescence was 0.761%.
