Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic. To the best of our knowledge, the three known compounds, 1β,4β-dihydroxy-5α, 8β(H)-eudesm-7 (11) Z-en-8, 12-olide (2), 1β, 4α-dihydroxy-5α, 8β(H)-eudesm-7 (11) Z-en8, 12-olide (3), and (–)(7S,8R)dihydrodehydrodiconifery alcohol (4) were all isolated from this plant for the first time.
