Abstract: A new sesquiterpenene lactone-eupatoranolide was isolated from the flowers of Eupatorium adenophorum. Some known comporumds,2-acetoxy-3,4,6,11-tetradehydrocadinan-7-one,7-oxoagera phorone,kolavenol,eugenyl-O-β-D-glucopyranoside,5,4'-dihydroxy-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoxyflavonone,3,5,4'-trihydroxy-6-7-dimethoxyflavonone were also obtained. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic evidence.

Key words: Eupatorium adenophorum, Compositae, Cadinene sesquiterpenoids, Eupatoranolide, Kolavenol, Eugeny-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, Flavanoids
