The Camelllia ptlophylla germplasm resouce in Hunan rovince was evaluated. It con- tained specializational chemical ingredients in general tea. The tea polyphenol content (34% ~40% ) was more than the conventional level. The comprehensive results showed the wild tea germplasm resourse should have an important special value in tea breeding for black tea varieties a s well as used immediately in tea production.
