Abstract: This paper discusses the taxonomic relationship and the hierarchy between the Chinese Sphaerophysa DC. and its allied genera from the world; recognizes the Chinese species as a member of Sphaerophysa DC. not Swainsona Salisb. It is used to the Chinese works from 1950's to present.
