Abstract: The essential oil of Pelargonium rosum which is produced in Yunnan was analyzed by Finnigan-4510 GC/MS/DS. Some 57 compounds belonging to 7 alcohols (56.3), 25 esters and ethers (20.51), 20 terpenoids (8.51), 3 carbonyl compounds (10.71) and 2 other constituents (0.66) were identified.The analysis shows that the essential oil of Pelargonium rosum is similar to the French Pelargonium oil.
