Abstract: From the root of Melasma arvense (Benth. ) H.--M., aucu- bigenin-1-O-β-gentiobioside (2 ), a new iridoid glucoside and hydroxy-β- ionone glucoside (1 ) was obtained. Their structures were establlished by spec- troscopic analysis.
