REVISION ON THE SECTION CUCUBALOIDEAE OF CHINESE SILENE

Abstract: The present paper is a preliminary outcome of taxonbmic study of chinese plants of sect. Cucubaloideae. It contains 3 subsections, 25 species,2 varieties, of which 2 subsections are described as new and 1 belong to new grade. Besides, 6 species, 1 variety and 3 forms have been reduced to synonyms. The chinese plants of section Cucubaloideae in Silehe are mainly distributed in the Southwest, the Northwest, passing along the Central to the Northeast China. Himalayas--Hengduan Mountains is a centre for distribution of this section Cucubaloideae.
