Abstract: In the present paper,the chromosome numbers of the species of Gesneriaceae from Yunnan,China are reported for the first time.The results are formulated as follows:in Aeschynanthus bracteatus,a population of A.buxifolius,Hemiboea cavaleriei,Lysionotus pauciflorus and Petrocosmea barfata,2n=32;in Chirita dielsii,Ch.macrophylla,Ch.speciosa2n=18;in Orescharis ausea,2n=34;in Corallodiscus flabellatus 2n=40;Atetraploidy chromosome number(2n=64)was also found in another population of A.buxifolius.
