Abstract: Five sesquiterpenoids were isolated from the rhizomes of Hedychium yunnanense Gagnep, namely, cryptomeridiol (1) , α-eudesmo (2) ,β-eudesmol (3) , β-elemol (4) and 4-0-ethyl-cryptomeridiol (5) . (5) is a new compound, whose structure was determined by means of spectroscopic analysis.
