Abstract: An examination of the type specimens cited by Finet and Gagnepain under their A. lycoctonum var. brevicalcaratum, i. e. Delavay 975 and 3212, shows that they perfectly agree with A. lauenerianum Fletcher. That is to say, the Delavay 975 and 3212 also have petals with a 4-5 mm long, backwardly directed spur.
