NOTES ON BAMBUSOIDEAE (GRAMINEAE) IN YUNNAN AND ADJACENT SICHUAN AND BURMA

Abstract: Two species of bamboos, Arundinaria faberi Rendle and Chimonocalamus griffithianus (Munro) Hsueh et Yi, are recorded in Yunnan for the first time. Five specific names, Chimonocalamus tortuosus Hsueh et Yi, Dendrocalamus factitus Yi, Chimonobambusa yunnanensis Hsueh et W. P. Zhang, Chimonobambusa neopurpurea Yi and Ferrocalamus rimosivaginus Wen, are merged into Chimonocalamus griffithianus (Munro) Hsueh et Yi, Bambusa inermis (Keng et Keng f. )Yi, Chimonobambusa ningnanica Hsueh et L. Z. Gao, Chimonobambusa purpurea Hsueh et Yi and Ferrocalamus strictus Hsueh et Keng f., respectively. Five new combinations go as fol-lows: Chimonocalamus burmaensis (C. S. Chao et Renvoize) D. Z. Li, Chimonocalamus longispiculatus (C. S. Chao et Renvoize) D. Z. Li, Bambusa annulata (Hsueh et W. P. Zhang)D. Z. Li, Bambusa yunnanensis (Hsueh et Hsueh f. )D. Z. Li and Bambusa rongchengensis (Yi et C. Y. Sia)D. Z. Li.
