Four rose oils from France, Morocco, Kushui in Gansu Province and Pingyin in Shangdong Province were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by means of GC and GC / MS. 79, 74, 45, 54 compounds were respectively identified in these four rose oils. The main chemical constituents of all the rose oils are citronellol, geraniol jS-phenylethyl alcohol, farnesol and their esters, linalool, linalool oxide, rose oxide, eugenol, methyl eugenol and others. Because of different constitutents and their contents, the odour among the oils are different delicately. French rose oil and Moroccan rose oil possess unadulterated, sweet, fresh floral rose odour with green note because of the suitable proportion of their aromatic constituents, but Kushui rose oil and Pingyin rose oil possess less floral odour with slight other odour because of unsatisfying pro-portion of their constituents, and also Kushui rose oil possesses a little fatty odour because of the higher content of 2-dodecanone and 2-tridecanone.

The plants of genera Oxytropis and Astragalus which belonged to the family Paplionaceae are commonly distributed in dry land or high mountain region. There were similiar morphological characters, and their geographic distributions overlapped. In the present paper, the karyotypes of seven species were investigated in two genera.

6 species of 4 genera includec in the Laschia-Complex have been reported from the Southern and Southeastern Yunnan, China .Among them, Filoboletus verruculosus P. G. Liu and F. yunnanensis P. G. Liu are new species. The former has been taken its warty cheilocystidia as a distinctive character, the latter being regarded its clavated to cylindric cheilocystidia and filiform caulocystidia as the characters distinguished from the other species of the genus. Mycena violacella (Speq.) Singer is frist recorded from China. The new species described with the Latin and the new to China are illustrated in the paper. These species geographic distribution show the tropical and subtropical patterns. All specimen cited in this paper are depoisted in the Herbarium of Cryptogams, Kunming Institute of Botany, Academia Sinica (HKAS), Kunming, China.

According to the result of wild survey on the Formanodendron doichangensis-commu-nity, the floristic elements of the community has been analysed. The Tropical & Subtropical floristic elements are of a great deal(90.25 of the total species), among them the Indo-Malaysian floristic elements are in the frist place(41.46), the floristic elements of the bor-der land in Yuaana and other countries (Burma, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam) are in the second place (29.2 in total), the floristic elements relating to Tropical Africa are few, but there are no the floristic elements relating to Tropical Australia or Tropical America. Based on the floristic analysis of the community, it is strong to support the view suggested by Kevin C. Nixon & William L. Crepet: Formanodendron is a distinct genus and F. doichangensis was originated from the ancestor of Trigonobalanus verticillata in early Tertiary.

A study deals with the flora of seed plants in dry-hot and dry-warm river valley of Jinshajiang (Jinsha River) within Yunnan and a part of Sichuan. A list of names with plant fami-lies 111,genera 427, species 748 (wild, except cultivated 172) has been established, both including variaties and forms. The number pattern of generic areal-types for this region was summarized as: 1-44, 2-127, 3-10, 4-39, 5-13,6-37, 7-29,8-47, 9-12, 10-25, 11-3, 12-7, 13-1, 14-20, 15-13. In 748 species, 73 ones to be selected as the common character species of three river valleys ( Jinshajiang, Yuanjiang, Nujiang ) and 156 ones of Jinshajiang only are the basical data of this study.
