Abstract: Five secoiridoid glycosides were isolated from Swertia punicea Hemsl. which identi-fied as a new glycoside amarogentin B ( n ), together with four known compounds amarogentin (I), gentiopicroside (in), sweroside (IV) and swertiamarin (V) by means of spectral and chemical analyses.
