Abstract: In a diploid population of Lilium davidii D. in north-western Yunnan, triploid of the species with 36 (2n) chromosomes was found for the first time. It was essentially coincident with the diploid ( 2n=24) in morphological characters as well as in karyotypical and isoesterasal features, and might be sure to be an autotriploid of the species.
