Abstract: While studying agarics from Yunnan，the authors have found a new fungus similar to Agrocybe cylindrica(DC:Fr)Maire．Based upon their observations in the field,comparative studies of its cultivation and cultural characters with those of A.cylindrica,a new species,Agrocybe alicacola Z．L．Yang，Zang et X．X．Liu，is proposed for it，which differs mainly in its pale—coloured pileus，decurrent lamellae，and lacking lamydospores in vitro.
