TRITERPENE ALCOHOLS AND STEROLS FROM SEED OIL OF MICROULA SIKKIMENSIS

Abstract: The content of unsaponifiable material in seed oil of Microula sikkimensis Hemsl. isO. 6. Triterpene alcohols and sterols were separated from unsaponifiables. Four triterpene alcohols (P-amyrin, lupeol,cycloartenol and 24-methylene-cycloartanol) and eleven sterols(cholesterol, cholest-7-enol, campesterol, 24-methylcholest-7-enol, P-sitosterol, 22-dihydrospinasterol, brassicasterol, stigmasterol, fucosterol, A^avenasterol and 7,24 (28) ergostadienol) were identified.
