Abstract: The present paper describes the pollen morphology and related characters of 8 material of L.sinense, L. sinense cv.Chuanxiong and L.sinense cv.Fuxiong. In cont-rast with L. sinense, L. sinense cv. Chuanxiong and L. sinense cv. Fuxiong manifest great variation in pollen morphology, yet still retaiji the basic character of rectangular type and they are much similar to L. sinense in other related characters. Therefore, pollen morphology supports the treatment of regarding L. sinense cv. Chuanxiong and L. sinense cv. Fuxiong as cultivated varieties of L. sinense.
