Abstract: The cultured Dioscorea composite Hemsl. was introduced successfully by us from Mexico. This paper deals with the pattern of the growth and development of the plant in Xishuangbanna area, Yunnan province, China.The result shows the "ced germination is related with tempercture, thousandgrain v/eight and the storage. The vine begins to grow quickly and the seedlings can be transplanted to field at sixty day after sowing. Flowing and fruiting in a year after transplant. The plant is evergreen, and has two flowing seasons in per year.
