Abstract: A new genus in Vitaceae, Yua C. L. Li, is here described. The species of Yua arc distributed in subtropical China, Nepal and India (Khasia mou-ntains). In this paper, the differences between Yua and its relatives have been indicated with description of all the species followed literature citation, from which some significant histories of determination of the species as well as ambiquity of its position may be understood.
