Abstract: This is paper reports the chemical constituents of f the resin from Cunninghamia unicanaliculata var. pyramidalis. On the basis of the observation made on GC and TLC, we found the resin contains more than tell components, two of them are monoterpenes (a-pinene and limonene). The other eight components were isolated from petroleum ether extract of resin. By spectroscopic data (UV, IR, NMR and GC/MS) the eight compounds were identified as α-caryophylrne (Ⅰ), P-selinenr (Ⅱ), pimara-8, 15-dinene (Ⅲ), trans-biformene (Ⅳ ), pimaradienol (Ⅴ), pimaranol (Ⅵ), trans-commuol (Ⅶ ), and trans-communic acid (Ⅷ ), respectively.
