Abstract

Abstract: Based on the very recently described Adoxa omeiensis Hara, Tetradoxa C. Y. Wu is raised as second new genus in the Adoxaceae, in making this formerly monotypic family to 3-generic. A thorough comparison among Tetra-doxa, Adoxa and Sinadoxa is made and the infrafamiliar evolution being widely discussed. The systematic position of the family is also elucidated according to the palynological data by SEM.
