Abstract: The Yunnan Tropical Botanical Institute and Kunming Institute of Botany, Academia Sinica, on March 9, 1981, lost their honourable botanist through 50 years, the senior Professor of Botany Vice-President of Kunming Branch of Academia Sinica, Emeritus President of the Botanical Society of China, Director of Yunnan Tropical Botanical Institute, Academia Sinica,Vice-Director of Kunming Instiute of Botany, Academia Sinica and Vice chief editor of Acta Botanica Yunnanica etc.
