Abstract: The leaves of 17 species and one vatiety of Maytenus viz. M. hookeri, M. berberoides, M. pseudoracemosus, M. austroyunnanensis, M. graciliramulus, m. hookeri M. orbiculatus, M.eswiorolii, M. uarberoides, M.olngiradiatus, M. kwangsiensis, M. confer-tiflorus, M. diuersifolius, M.royleanus, M. serratus, M. senegalensis, M. cymosus, M. thyrsiflorus, were compared for their mophological and histological characters.
