Pollen Morphology and Systematic Signifiance of the Subgenus Pogonophace (Astragalus: Leguminosae) from China

Abstract: The pollen morphology of 12 species belonging to six sections of the Astragalus subgenus Pogonophace in China is presented in this paper. There are three sculpture types of the pollen exine, namely reticulate, perforate or fossulate, and foveo-reticulate sculpture. Though the 3-colporate is commonly exciting in the subgenus, but two types of aperture can be divided according to the ora being apparent or not.
