Pollen Morphology of Stachyuraceae and Related Taxa

Abstract: The pollen grains of 37 species belonging to 16 genera of 7 families, i.e.,Stachyuraceae,Dilleniaceae,Actinidiaceae,Saurauiaceae,Ochnaceae,Staphyleaceae and Theaceae were examined by light and scanning eectron microscopes,Sone species were examined by scanning electron microscope or reported for the first time.The result showed that most pollen grains are 3-lobed circular or sub-3-lobed circular in outline in polar view,the shape varies from suboblate to subprolate but most are subspheroidal to spheroidal.
