The present paper is a taxonomic study on the genus Phtheirospermum Bunge. The Phtheirospermum is a small genus which is now known to include five species in the family Scrophulariaceae endimic to the temperate E.Asia. The area from Southwest parts to Hongduan Mountains region is quite possibly to suggest as a centre of development and diversity of the genus. In the paper, one new-discribed species, Phtheirospermum muliense C.Y.Wu et D.D.Tao, one newly rocorded species, Phtheirospermum perishii and two new synonyms are proposed.
