A NEW SPECIES OF GASTRODIA FROM YUNNAN

Abstract

Abstract: Species nova insignis, a G.elata Bl. tubere ut ovarium sparse tuberculato, labello triangulato-ovato, margine non fimbriato, intus carinis 4 carnosis verru- culosis instructo statim dignscenda. Herba saprophytica erecta 24-35 cm alta, rhizomate in tuber carnosum ovato-fusiforme 3-6 cm longum 1.5-2.8 cm crass. manifeste sed sparse tuber-culatum, ad nodos squamatum, incrassato. Caulis teres carneus et albido-striatus prope basin 3-5 mm crass., vaginis dissitis 7-12 mm longis amplectentibus obssesus. Racemus 4-7 cm longus, laxius 2-10-florus.
