Abstract: In this paper , plumules, cotyledons, hypocotyls, blades, petioles and stalks of physic nut ( Jatropha curcas L. ) were used as explants, and callus induction and plant regeneration were studied on MS medium contained different concentrations of 6-BA and NAA. The results showed that the MS medium with 5.0 mg/L BA and 1.0 mg/L NAA was the best for callus induction, and with 5.0mg/L BA and 0.1mg/L NAA, for formation of adventitious bud, and with 1.0mg/L BA and 1.0 mg/L NAA, for bud growth, and that 12 MS medium with 1.0 mg/L NAA was the best for formation and growth of adventitious root .
