Abstract: The comparative analysis of chl-protein complexes of thc thylakoid memb- ranes from a grana-deficient nlutant and the wild variety of rice was made by using a modified procedure of electrophoretic fractionation (Markwell et al, 1978) and quantitative phlotodcnsitometric scanning. Six green bands were chara- cterized: CP- I,a light-harvesting chl a/b protein complex CP- II-3(M. W. of apoprotein 24 kD) and two minor oligomrs of it, a chl a-protein complex CPa (M. W. 28 kD), and FC. It was fonnd that on the basis of the relative content of chl in various bands, the amount of CP- I is close in the membranes of wild and mutant (30-35%) .
