The comparative analysis of chl-protein complexes of thc thylakoid memb- ranes from a grana-deficient nlutant and the wild variety of rice was made by using a modified procedure of electrophoretic fractionation (Markwell et al, 1978) and quantitative phlotodcnsitometric scanning. Six green bands were chara- cterized: CP- I,a light-harvesting chl a/b protein complex CP- II-3(M. W. of apoprotein 24 kD) and two minor oligomrs of it, a chl a-protein complex CPa (M. W. 28 kD), and FC. It was fonnd that on the basis of the relative content of chl in various bands, the amount of CP- I is close in the membranes of wild and mutant (30-35%) .

The Protoplasts were isolated enzymatically from tobacco crown gall tu- mors and its teratoma cells induced by Agrobecterium tumefaciens strain 702. Small colonies ware derived from them by incubating these protoplasts in mo- dified K and NT liquid media. T-DNA transformed-cell colonies were selected by transferring them onto NT medium without any phytohormone. Then single cell cloning strain of tobacco crown gall turnor 702c and its teratoma 702Tc have been established. Through being subcultured 15 times they all maintain their inherent characrts and contain nopaline. Being carried on root differentiatc experiment with this teratoma shoots, roots grow from a few of them and intact plants were obtained. Examining each parts of the plants separately, nopaline was present in all leaves and crown galls but was not detected in the roots. The roots perhaps grow from normal cells losing T-DNA. Its genes also perhaps do not express.

A quantitative method for determination of the activity of nopaline synthase in the crude enzyme extract of crown gall by measurement of the expense of NADPH was established. The activity of this enzyme in vitro for the crown gall lines of potato, sunflower, tobacco and carrot induced by Agrobacterium tumefaciens carrying nopaline type Ti plasmid can represent its quantity in vivo for no any activitor or inhibitor of this enzyme for sixteen plant crown gall lines induced by four A.tumefaciens strains was measured by this rnethod. The quantities of this enzyme in all crown gall lines of carrot and tobacco including one of the single cell line of tobacco crown gall on the basis of DNA unit are ess viously than the quantity of it in all crown gall lines of sunflower and otato induccd by simillar A. tumefaciens strains. The different quantity of no- aline synthase in different host plants is determined to a great extend by the ifferent plants thomselves. It is possiblat that a cxterior gene incorporated into plant though Ti plasmid wi11 get different results in different plants.

The floral bud of primitive species Camellia reticulata Lindly F.Simlex sealy began to differentiate during the first decade or the middle decade of June. The development of male and female ganletophytes wcre all normal. The differen- tiation of cultivar C. zhangjiacha Chang's was two months later than the primitive species, the stamen development was abnormal, its filament and anther could integrate partially or wholly with the style, petals and ovary wall. The development of male gametophyte got restrained or blocked, because ovary wall was badly crimpy.Development of the cmbryo sac of C. reticulata L. is bisp-oric, eightnucleate, allium type. In this paper, the difference and similarities between the development of female gametophyte in C.reticulata L.and that in C.oleosa and C.sasanqua have been disscussed.

The genus Acer has 58 species, 5 subspecics and 24 varieties in Hegnduan Mountains. There are 148 species of Acer in China. The species of Acer in Hengduan Mountains occupy 39.2% of the total species of China and the region is the largest distribution center of the genus in modern times. The genus there has 27 endemic species which occupies 46.55% of the total species of the genus in the region. It shows that the differentiation of species of the genus in the region is taking place actively. 14 sections of the genus Acer of China are divide which include primitive, intermediate and advanced forms and all the sections can be found in the region. And there is one endemic section there.

The present paper dcyls with 3 new species of Bryophytes which were collected from Chinling Mountains (Qin-Ling), China. These new taxa are: 1. Streblotrichum propaquliferum Li et Zhang, sp. nov. The species is closely related to Streblotrichum obtusifolium (Broth.) Chen, but may be distinguished from the latter by its single papillose at both sides of leaf cells and gemmae occur on axillary leaves. 2. Leucodon radicalis Zhang, sp. nov. 3. Frullania (Trachycolea) chinlingensis Li et Zhang, sp. nov.

Gastrodia is a genus of over 20 specics, cxtending from Madagascar to tropical Asia and Oceania, and northwards to Japan, China and the Far East of Soviet Union. There are so far nine species recorded in China, five of which are generally recognized as distinct species, including the recently discovcred G.tuberculata P.Y.Liu et S. C. Chen. However, G. mairei Schltr. is reduced here to a synonym of G. elata Bl., based on an cxamination of the isotype (Maire 13) preserved in Oakcs Ames Orchid Herbarium.
