This is a brief introduction to the history of Burma-Malaya Geoblock. Since the Miocene Epoch, the Geoblock has moved4 -5 northward and rotated in a clockwise direction, while Hekou and its adjacent areas on the other end of the axis shifted southward but in a little extent. The biological effect to the flora of Dulongjiang area caused by the movement of Burma-Malaya Geoblock can be included into the following aspects.

(1)Podoaceae Baillon ex Franchet includes 2 genera, 3 species. Dobinea vulgaris Buch-Ham. ex D.Don is an erect evergreen shrub distributed in Nepal, Sikkim, Mishimi, Metog and Zayu of Tibet as well as Dulongjiang valley. The other 2 species are perennial herbs or subshrubs.

Dulongjiang is situated in western Gongshan Dulong and Nu Nationalities Autonomous County of Yunnan Province, extending from 97 45'-98 30'E,27 40'-28 50'N with an area 1994 km2.Dulongjiang area is the north part of Burma-Malaya Geoblock of Gondwanaland. During th Mesozoic Era it collided with the Eurasian Plate, and became the southwestern borderland of East Asia Continent. Since the Miocene Epoch, Burma-Malaya Geoblock has moved 450 km northward from the equator tropical zone and also shifted right. The history process caused a deep influence on the flora of Dulongjiang region. This paper discusses the floristic structure of families, genera and species, as well as features of Dulongjiang flora. It is closely related with the geoblock movement.

Nomocharis, Notholirion and Cardiocrinum, in a narrow sense, are three new -born genera of Liliaceae. Their chromosome number: 2n=24. All are diploids.11) Period of Origin: Cardiocrinum, originated in the late Miocene Epoch, Nomocharis, originated in the Pliocene Epoch or later and Notholirion, originated after the Pleistocene Epoch, are monocotyledons appeared in the late Cenozoic Ere.
